Scatalogical Musings

In case you don’t know off the top of your head, scatalogy is “the study of fecal excrement.”  Yes, I do mean poop, ca-ca, or whatever else you call it around your kids.  Admittedly, a fascination with this stuff is usually the provenance of three year old boys.  But, here at Tabby’s Place we spend […]

Bagheera’s New Job

Long-time readers of this blog will remember the inimitable Bagheera.  If you’re a newbie, you can catch up on Bags at these links: Special Needs Sponsorship page, “Where They are Now”. While most cats are, frankly, pretty bad at “giving back to the community,” I am proud to report that Bags is paying it forward […]

Toasted Musk & Lovingkindness

Many people who work in animal welfare find that, as the years pass, they like people less and less.  This happens because they are naturally exposed to the awful ways that people treat animals. I have to confess, however, that after 8 years in this field, I actually like people more and more.

2004: Tabby’s Place Video

Where are they Now: Bagheera

If you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time, you know about “Bags” (Bagheera).  He was our first paraplegic cat and had an amazing personality.   To our amazement and delight, he was adopted several years ago by a wonderful vet, Dr. M. Given the recent adoption of our second paraplegic, Tashi, and the […]

One Year Later: Bellis

I suspect many of you remember Bellis, our blind lobby-cat, who found her forever home last year.  I can’t imagine a nicer holiday gift than an update from Bellis’ new mom, Cindi. Without further ado, here is the update, along with a few adorable photos.  Enjoy.

Slide: My First Officemate

If you are a long-time reader of this blog, you know that I have a had a succession of office mates.  I have blogged about some of them  (Sinbad, Pepper and my current mate, Geoff), and would love to eventually introduce you to all of them. I can’t promise I’ll find time to blog about […]
