Guest post: Stranger things

It’s a strange thing to put one’s thoughts into words.

It’s stranger still to cast them out into the ether to see where they land.

The most surprising thing is to see how they are received, by how many, and how far away.

Words are the strings that connect us and the glue that holds us together. We need to be careful with them, but it’s definitely good to take some chances, too.

Such it is with Cattywumpus…oops, no, I mean Felis Catus. Cattywumpus is one of my many nicknames for our “not management material” rare kitty who neglects all supervisory duties. Felis Catus is the happy blog where we all celebrate the world of fantastic felines that is Tabby’s Place…as well as each other.

See? Words matter! Mustn’t confuse them.

Felis Catus is the yarn that we all chase after, and Tabby’s Place is the glue that holds us together. It’s a never-ending diorama project that gets super messy at times, but is somehow exactly perfect even when sticky, icky things from these usually marvelous cats glop onto us humans. (I’m looking at you, Ramekin and Elliot! So thankful for soap and sanitizer!)

Are these ponderings, within a blog, about a blog, “meta”? Is all this word playing as effective an exercise as, say, chasing a ball around a room, or flinging oneself up a cat tree and scampering sideways?

No matter. As the saying goes, pictures are worth a thousand words, so, here are some Tabby’s Place cat pictures.

You might see some stranger things, but cat pics are better than Netflix.
