The moving of cats is a delicate matter. Perhaps that’s why we decided to do it all at once, to approximately 30,000 cats. Nowhere was our prudence and patience more evident than in the Community Room.
They say a leopard can’t change it’s spots. If you Google this saying it claims “One cannot change ones essential nature.” Well Sally is living proof that while a leopard can’t change, a small black panther looking cat can completely change her whole essential nature.
June is arguably the best of months. It has the Strawberry Moon. It has the promise that you will always be a bride. It has Wonder Woman.*
Cats (feline) are not the only cats (hep) to have moved in our recent mass of motion. We have been hustling humans all about the sanctuary, too.
Editor’s note: As you may have heard, Big Giant Things are afoot at Tabby’s Place this May. More on such Things, Big and Giant, in an upcoming post. In the meantime, however, one (physically) small (spiritual) giant begs his tale be told. The rumors are true: Lars is still in the land of the living.
Editor’s note: treasured volunteer Tara was “supposed to” share Sweet Pea’s stories for a good, long time. Sweetness was supposed to linger. But when things don’t go to plan, love still sings its song. Thanks to Tara for writing this all-too-soon tribute.
So our suite for shy cats contains cats who are shy, except for the fact they aren’t anymore. Our Adoption Rooms are still technically called Adoption Rooms, even though they aren’t rooms for adoption. So are you really surprised that our sparkly new, specially designated Kitten Room contains precisely 0.000 kittens?
Plug in your earphones, compadres. It’s time to dance to the music…al cats.
Here’s a secret. Volunteer Appreciation Week at Tabby’s Place is a neverending affair.
