October over? Pumpkins kerplopped? Fear not; November remembers you.
Quite a lot happened this week in history. The Feast Day of St. Francis. The Battle of Largs. The births of Gandhi and Vaclav Havel and Sting. The 14th anniversary of Tabby’s Place.
Plug in your earphones, compadres. It’s time to dance to the music…al cats.
April, sweet April, T.S. Eliot had you all wrong. You’re not the cruellest month. You’re not trying to show us fear in a handful of dust.
Ever notice that everyone thinks of himself as an iconoclast? Show me someone who proudly says “I’m a mid-mainstream man!”, and I’ll show you a Waffle House serving artisanal vegan cheese.
March, baby, we need to talk. That lion-and-lamb stuff is an understatement when it comes to you. Good heavens to Murgatroyd, did you ever march forth.
It ain’t our first time at this here rodeo.* We’ve had an anxious quintet from Southern parts before.
For a short month, February makes a lot of noise. But then, February does hang out with Bear.
Right now, we have a special opportunity for donations to be matched, up to $22,000.
Tabby’s Place rescues sweet seniors who have nowhere else to turn. Their hearts are full of love, and these gentle souls deserve tenderness, respect, and excellent care.
Please give from your golden heart, so senior cats can have happy golden years. Your
donation will go where it is most needed.
Harriet, age 16, was once forgotten and alone. A car accident left her with life-threatening
injuries. But the best days of Harriet’s life were ahead: she became a Tabby’s Place cat.
Surgery saved her life, and love mended her broken heart. Today, this shaggy sweetheart
reigns in our Executive Director’s office, receiving world-class care for her kidney
disease and arthritis.
Steven, age 15, has lived at Tabby’s Place all his life. He may have numerous Special
Needs, but Steven is as happy as springtime itself. Our little “elder statescat” is thriving
through his golden years, enfolded in love and adored by all.
