We try to keep it real on this blog. That said, if you ever hear me utter the words “I’m keepin’ it real,” please take me gently by the hand and take me to a quiet room where you can apply duct tape to my mouth (preferably glitter duct tape).
Part of my job is to make appointment reminder phone calls. Recently, I had a rough conversation with someone who couldn’t tell the difference between 3 disparate groups of people. (Oh, no. Here we go.)
Have three little letters ever been so fraught? Think about it. LMK, IMO, IOU, TBD, LOL, ASAP (okay, 4 letters on that one, but bear with me)…
…and days…and days. Every day brings something a little bit new with it, and lot more same old, same old, same old.
How are you holding up, kittens? Are you seeking the good? Are you finding sparks of light? Are you running down the street in your pajamas howling while clutching your favorite cat and your last roll of toilet paper and screaming “KENNNNNNNY ROOOOGGGERS!” Or are you a little of all the above?
Confession: I err on the side of the positive. Perhaps pathologically positive. I will find a way to say something good about vegan cheese, and Cats, and the Department of Motor Vehicles. I will believe there are honest, honorable politicians. I will write, with all my heart, that “Scarywinkle” no longer deserves her nickname.
The cats are all for big plans and big dreams. But the cats hope you’ll also remember to keep things little in 2020.
