As proven by its occasional rhapsodizing about Alan Alda and One Direction, this blog is not generally pinned to the pulse of celebrity news.
But this week’s star sorrow demands a response. The world has lost its beloved Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman.
In a year that seems as though it just takes and takes and takes, this news took us all by surprise. Mr. Boseman — and the hero he portrayed — was a source of hope and joy for so many. His passing at 43 is all too cruel in a year already all too vicious.
So today, Felis Catus makes the rare move of dedicating an entire entry to a “famous person” — but, even more, to the courage his most iconic character inspired, here placed in the mouths of our tiny panthera. Wakanda forever.
Let’s especially remember that last one, kittens. This day, this week, this baffling year, may we rise together.

Photos of Tabby’s Place cats thinking and talking about The Black Panther – I bet Chadwick Boseman would have approved.
