There is only one month of the year that makes a philosophical statement simply by existing: “May.”
Fortunately, one hundred percent of cats make philosophical statements simply by existing.

The fifth month of the year is “May,” not “Definitely Will.” We do not go from April, to “Won’t”, to June.
Right in the center of springtime, we are reminded that we may not know the future, but we will be okay, come what May.
And when we forget, we have cats to remind us.
We may have to hold a kitten shower with few kittens, but that may lead to adoptions of adolescents and adults. We may come upon one dozen ringworm-rippled relatives in a small apartment, but they may glow long after the fungus is finished.
We may even have to duel diagnoses that seem unfair. But that may bring us closer together.
And — take it from one hundred percent of cats — as long as we are together, we are going to be okay.

You can take May’s word for that. The fifth month lavished us thusly:

Stuff We Learned: When the smallest cat at Tabby’s Place and the largest cat at Tabby’s Place snuggle up like the sun and moon, it’s a total eclipse of the blues. You are never too old to be a kitten again. Everyone you ever loved is still here.
June, we hear you’ve got cats who need us, and cats who we need.
We’re gonna love you — come what may.
PS: Amid this cavalcade of kittens, please take a moment to Remember the Seniors like our old, true friend Pepita. They may be as soft and comfortable as an old pair of shoes, but they hope you’ll still ask them to dance.
