Love stories: Thai

thai-pictures-097In the immortal words of Bachman Turner Overdrive, any love is good love.

But, as Thai‘s tale tells, true love is unconditional…and jingles all the way.

thai-pictures-042Special thanks to the beautiful family who rings Thai’s bell for penning the following.

“Unconditional love is a term that means to love someone regardless of the loved one’s qualities or actions.

“Michelle, friend and long time volunteer at Tabby’s Place, heard that a Seal Point Siamese named Thai, needed a forever home. We went to meet him. In Suite B slept a ball of tan and black fur. As we approached, Thai opened his exquisite blue eyes. We fell in love. On May 19, 2010, Thai became part of our family. He demands to be greeted when each of our family members arrives home, loves to be in the same room with us, is happy with short hugs, sleeping at the foot of the beds, and loves to talk and play fetch.thai-pictures

thai-pictures-106“One morning shortly after bringing him home, I was awakened by the sound of a jingling bell. Thai had a bell tied to a ribbon in his mouth. Thinking he might get hurt, I took the bell away, but Thai dug the ribbon out of its hiding spot. He dropped it and cooed. I picked it and tossed the bell down the hallway. Thai took off, slid down the hall, picked up it and dropped it at my bedside. Ever since, Thai regularly engages us with his game of fetch and walks around jingling his bell.

“Thai is special to us because after losing our precious Ren and Stimpy our world was so empty. His personality filled our home with the unconditional love that we needed to heal our broken hearts. He thrills us with his jingling bell and he warms us with his open heart. Thai needed a home where he was loved and we needed to be owned by a cat once again. We cannot thank Tabby’s Place and Michelle enough for the wonderful gift they have given us.thai-pictures-054

Famiglia Thai, it is we who cannot thank you enough. Unconditional love is the mightiest force on the globe, and you and Thai rock our world.

  1. It really makes you smile to hear how some of your favorite kitties are doing in their forever home 🙂 Thanks to Thai and his wonderful family for sharing their happy story 🙂

  2. It is truly great to hear all these lovely stories about cats and their forever families, cats who would not have been able to enjoy such a future if were not for Tabby’s Place. Keep up the good work.

  3. I remember seeing Thai’s photo in the first few days it was up on the Tabby’s Place website, and being bowled over by how gorgeous he was! I’m so glad he got adopted into such a loving household. (And just because I’m keeping score: YAY! ANOTHER KITTY WHO KNOWS HOW TO PLAY FETCH!) 🙂
