Outpost from across the pond: brilliant Bets
Our London friend John Graham is back with a new missive from the moggies in jolly old England. Today, we have the pleasure of meeting a cat in a class of her own: Bets.

Since he was black-and-white instead of gingery-brown, and since he was a boy, we couldn’t let the new cat keep the name Spice. But, in all honesty, he never lived up to his slightly amended name, either: Spike. Fortunately, even a series of ill-fitting names can’t keep a cat from the home that’s meant to […]
Some goodbyes are particularly wrenching. Few rival the ache of losing our tiny tabby, Anastasia. No one adored Ana more deeply and faithfully than Sharon (Jonathan’s wife, our Volunteer Coordinator). Sharon always cherished Ana and always advocated for her, and Ana’s entire countenance would brighten whenever Sharon entered the room. I know how painful this […]
Pop quiz: what’s the one thing better than an awesome, amazing, extraordinary adoption? A stellar update on those astonishing adoptees. And, I’m elated to share, that’s precisely what we received from Mrs. AwesomeAdopter this week. It seems those beloved BFFs, Pirate and Midnight, have taken “happiness” to new heights in the AwesomeAdopter home. Feast your hearts […]

Some cats won’t give a scary diagnosis the time of day. Tabby’s Place is blessed with a wealth of these death-defiers, and perhaps none is more charming, more adorable, or more downright peculiar than our tiny Esme.
The great philosopher Burt Bacharach once opined, “Only love can break a heart. Only love can mend it again.” Clearly Webster has his heart turned to that station, because new love is healing his hurts day by day.
As if it weren’t hard enough being itty-bitty, the youngest septet at Tabby’s Place has faced an especially severe indignity. Despite being “deities,” these seven siblings have fallen from grace into (dum-dum-DUM)…ringworm.
