Tabby's Place

The Webby awards

It has been brought to my attention that, while I take many pictures of all the Tabby’s Place cats, I take a fully appropriate disproportionate number of pictures of Webster (say, 50 one hundred meeeellion a month). And isn’t that rather unfair? To quote various British people: bollocks.

The Thai that binds

Sometimes it all catches me off guard. All of a sudden, I’ll see a photo of one precious soul in his forever home, and it will hit me: This cat was a breath away from death. This love, this happiness, this meant-to-be family, almost didn’t happen. And I remember all over again that we get to […]

Kim of uncommon courage

But today, I’m […]

Samuel IV

“Sam” has been a name associated with invincible coolness at Tabby’s Place. One-and-a-half-eyed tabby Sam was the epitome of sweetness. And, now, zingy little sable Sam has landed the dream of all Samuels: a […]

In Memory: Midnight

Last week, Tabby’s Place became one big broken heart when we heard from the original Mrs. AwesomeAdopter: Midnight, the snuggle-bug best friend to Pirate, had passed away. A primary lung sarcoma stole this sable sweetheart from his mama after six happy months together. Mrs. AwesomeAdopter fondly recalls […]

Homeward Huck

In many contexts, seven is a number for Very Good Things. Fullness and completion. Wonders of the world. Habits of highly effective people. Players on an Ultimate Frisbee team. And, most importantly, FIV+ cats adopted from Tabby’s Place in the last six months.
