Guarding Grady
I am delighted to report that our snuggle-bunny Grady is home at Tabby’s Place, and made it through his surgery with flying colors – or, better yet, flying tabby stripes.

Cats are subject to many of the same diseases as humans, but there are a number of diseases that are unique (or almost so) to cats. At Tabby’s Place we have seen just about every cat disease imaginable (and, frankly, some that are unimaginable). I am going to use this blog to discuss some of these “weird […]
That jolly old song may not have been written for March, but I’ve been singing it ever since a certain white kitten arrived at Tabby’s Place…and, as of this past weekend, he’s got a forever family singing his praises, too.
No, I’m not posting about granola. “Crunchy” just so happens to have been the Tabby’s Place nickname for a rather darling cat, Esmeralda. Our vet bestowed the nickname on this fluffy girl upon seeing her crumpled-over ears. Knowing that we’ve been waiting for results from Grady‘s weekend CT scan – and knowing that nothing makes Jonathan merrier than good news for a cat - I spun around immediately. “Is there news about Grady??” Dear friends, you bet […]
Yesterday I received email with the news that Smurf, a Tabby’s Place alumnus, “went to Heaven on Friday, March 6, 2009.” I was greatly saddened to hear this … my mind flashed back to the day Smurf came to Tabby’s Place.
Freda was rushed to the emergency hospital on Sunday shortly after her arrival at Tabby’s Place. Words can hardly describe the state of this poor girl. Clearly an older adult, she weighed in at just 3.5 pounds.
