You know those ads that show happy, twirling couples who met through eHarmony?
Well, today we celebrate a match made through this very blog…and (literally) in Heaven. Volunteer Larry, take it away…
“Andora arrived at her forever home on Thursday January 6, 2011. Even though her arrival was unexpected, it was a welcome event.
“My Lady and Tag recently departed over the Rainbow Bridge, leaving a large hole in my heart and life. Tag had lived with me for something like 18 years. I was not with him when he left, but he will never be far from me.
“Lady was with me over ten years. Lady was five years younger, so I was not ready to lose her. The night before she left, she slept on my bed with me. When I woke, I knew she was having breathing problems, and was in trouble. Later at the animal hospital, while holding her, I let her go. Sharing our life together was wonderful. I am grateful for what we had, even these final moments.
“Reading the Tabby’s Place blog on December 30, 2010, I saw a beautiful girl looking at me. It was as if she was saying, ‘I can come live with you if you want me to. We can share the things that you love. All I will ask is that you and Shadow allow me to become part of your lives. I will not try to replace your loves. Someday we will all live together in your heart. Until then, we can be happy.’
“Remember: God is Love. Where you find Love, you will find God.
“My kitties help me to remember that.”
Amen, Larry, Amen. Me too! We could not be happier for Andora – and for you. May each of us, feline and human, be always found by Love in this way.
Ahhhh……a match truly made in heaven! Much love to you and your fur babies Larry!
Larry, my deepest sympathy for you on the loss of your beloved cats — we all know that no one can take their place, yet, the best cure for the hole left in your heart IS the love of another cat. Andora is very lucky to have you and her new sister, Shadow!!
Sounds to me like Andora lucked out for New Year’s! And won’t she and Shadow make the cutest gray pair! You have excellent taste, Larry. 🙂
Larry, I’m sure that Tag and Lady would give their full approval on your decision to adopt Andora, may they both Rest in peace.
Tears in my eyes… 🙂
Congratulations Larry on your new addition! May you, Shadow and Andora bask in all of the happiness you all deserve!
Andora & Shadow could easily be twins from separate litters, they look so much alike!!!
