You won’t be surprised to hear that I love my job. Among the many wonderful things I get to do is to hear from fellow cat rescuers. I”m constantly amazed by the number of people who are willing to give so much and expect nothing in return.
Just the other day I received email from the Cat Rescue Sanctuary – Hadera, located in central Israel.
The sanctuary houses and cares for over 300 cats, in a less-than-desirable environment. They say that Israeli society is not particularly cat friendly, so they get by on volunteers and minimal donations.
Furthermore, the facility has only a generator for electricity and due to cost, the generator is run only rarely. Instead, what money they have is spent on food and medical care.
I must say I am in awe of these people. They are doing so much with so little, and in such difficult circumstances. These people show incredible commitment and fortitude. My hat is off to them.
Please visit their website and take a look (the website is only available in Hebrew at this time).

Wow. While I can’t read the text on the website, I can tell enough to be deeply touched by their work. What a labor of love.
