“Through the eyes of love” is more than a song from Ice Castles. (Note: if you, too, have a special place in your heart for Ice Castles, I love you and we should be best friends.) “Through the eyes of love” is something Ike and Natalie and company witnessed this week.
If you’re anything like me, you’re confused over the blog title above. Too nerdy? Too nerdy? That’s like “too happy” or “too cupcake” or “too feline.” Too nerdy? I know. I know. Calm down. Love’s in need of love today at Tabby’s Place – and, I’m afraid, nerdy’s in need of nerdy.
Sometimes even I know better than to ornament something with too-many words. On this Mardi Gras, the emphasis at Tabby’s Place is on the Gras.
The following events take place between 10:30 am Saturday and 1:30 pm Tuesday. Consider this the Tabby’s Place version of an episode of 24…except, instead of Kiefer Sutherland and civilization-threatening threats, it’s 100 cats and a really epic power outage.
Someone once said that it takes a village to raise a child. My aunts and uncles say it takes at least 7 spices to make real tomato sauce. And at Tabby’s Place, we’re well aware: it takes a lot of loving human beans to save the cats.

There’s no fail-safe formula for finding a cat’s sweet spot at Tabby’s Place. Trial and error are often in order, and the game of “musical cats” goes on until everyone’s happy. At least, everyone feline.
