Greetings, Kitten Fund sponsors!
May (and the beginning of June) has been a good month for our tiniest residents! All have been healthy and thriving and we have had a whole host of our kittens find their forever homes:
- The topsy-turvy marvel Tipsy went to his forever home!
- Shy Periwinkle and Spunky Snippers sailed off into the sunset together just a few days ago.
- Beatty is officially off medical hold after his knee surgery and will be running out the door any day now.
- Sabrina strut her way into a human’s heart and home.
- Sassy and her, well, sassy antics have already earned her a future spot in a Forever Home.
- Puerto Rican Prodigies Circe and Figaro took flight together.
- Sweet Sabrina smoozed her way out the door.

The Spice Babies are already spreadin’ their sauce, as Clove and Nutmeg (together) and Anise and Corriander (together) are on hold. Only little Cayenne is left of the bunch!
The Real Housewives litter—Rocco, Sonja, Luann, and Bethenny—are all happy and healthy and will be meeting with potential adopters soon.
The circus has also come to town! We have welcomed one terrific trio —Jester, Barnum, and Baily—into our ranks! These little acrobats were found outside and may be breathing a little fire right now, but soon with a little love and time, they will be as sweet as cotton candy.

Due to quarantine and our temporary hold on adoptions, many of our kittens and adult cats have been with us for longer than usual. We have had so many cats with us that we knew would fly out the door given the opportunity. However, we are unable to host potential adopters in our sanctuary for many weeks and have only recently begun virtual adoptions. This makes saying goodbye to some of these wonderful creatures all that much harder, as we have grown to truly love each and every one of them.
That’s not to say that we don’t love the cats that break right out of quarantine and into a loving home. As soon as a cat enters our gates, they are showered with adoration and are cherished by all our staff and volunteers. But having spent week after long week with the same bunch of fantastic felines, it’s all the more difficult to say goodbye. So many of our suites feel empty, as they are no longer filled with these familiar furry faces.

Without Veronica, Talena, Finn, Circe, and Figaro, Suite B is almost silent. There are no mischievous kitties sneaking into garbage bags or chasing brooms or batting fur balls all across the floor. There are no light-hearted brawls between siblings or swarms of paws immediately descending onto enrichment toys. While our grumpier residents like Hope, Faye, Amy, and Disco may appreciate the quietness, for the staff it seems barren.
The community room is also dwindling. We miss cuddles with Tipsy and how he dorkily flops over when he comes for treats and attention. We miss Periwinkle and her spunky spirit, and even though she was never a cuddler, we miss seeing all the progress she has made in terms of her socialization. We will miss Gogi and Beatty, with their larger than life personalities, as they are slated to go home very soon.
The entirety of the Soul Sister Squad—aka Judy, Sketch, Sabrina, and Sasha—has come and gone off to their forever

homes, leaving just an empty room.
Saying goodbye is the goal, but we also find it so difficult to let go of our beloved residents. We can only rest assured in knowing that they are in the loving arms of their forever home families and that each adoption means that we have yet another opportunity to save another last chance cat.
Thank you for your continued support of the kitten fund and all our work at Tabby’s Place. While many of our kittens have gone home, we are sure to welcome many more in the coming months. Your continued generosity makes it possible for us to welcome all our tiniest residents with open arms.
