Orthopedic issues with back legs

Hip, hip, hooray! This spunky little lady is shouting her jubilation and looking for the right home!

Snippers is a joyful little girl. She loves to romp all around her room, chasing toy mice and spraying her litter and food all over. She is known for messing up her space again right after our staff clean it. This mess monster doesn’t mean to, well, make a mess, but she’s so just so darn happy that she is loved!

Snippers came from us from another rescue who couldn’t resolve her upper respiratory infection (URI). Luckily, with a healthy dose of antibiotics and the removal of a nasty polyp hiding in her throat, her URI has been conquered. She has some slight cloudiness in her eyes from the infection, but it doesn’t significantly affect her vision and she gets around just fine (too fine, even, as she is known for his parkour moves and bouncing around the room!).

When she first arrived, we also noticed that she seemed uncomfortable squatting in the litterbox. A few x-rays later, our vet team discovered that she has some orthopedic anomalies in both her back legs. She had corrective surgery on one side and now is doing very well. For now, it seems, she will not need any more surgeries and she has perfect bathroom manners.

Could Snippers be the new love of your life? Come and visit her any day from during our public hours. Please see our Visit Us page for updated information.
