Amy has had a run of bad luck over the past few years, but we are hoping her fortune will be changing soon!

Amy and another cat had been the cherished pets of a family for some time, but the other cat passed away in 2017. Her family had intended to keep Amy, but her human brother’s medical needs unfortunately necessitated her departure from the only home she had every known. Luckily, she ended up at Tabby’s Place through our Exceptional Circumstances Program and has been a treasured addition to our ranks so far.

Perhaps because she lived with another cat for years, Amy has been fine with her feline suitemates. She isn’t a huge fan of rowdy kittens, but she is happy to watch the younger kitties romp and play. She would be okay living with  another calm feline or as an only cat.

When Amy first arrived at our sanctuary, she earned a reputation as a fireball, but her flaming personality has mellowed out to warm embers. Amy is very sweet towards people and will meow at you if she is seeking attention. She often loves to sit in a cat tree near the door of her suite, waiting for new visitors so she can be the first to get your attention. She loves to get some gentle chin and neck scratches and has a very loud purr. She can be a talkative girl and lets you know when she’s happy. When she’s in a sleepy mood, she will find herself a nice comfy spot and curl up for a nap.

Don’t let Amy’s age scare you away. Amy is healthy, happy, and is lacking nothing but a good home. Amy would love to have a family of her own and would do great as a solo cat or in a house with other calm cats.

You can meet Amy and her friends during our public hours. Please see our Visit Us page for updated information.
