Happy June! Adam and I hope this update finds you well and enjoying these lovely spring days.
Adam is doing really well now that he can be back out in his solarium every day. He seems to gain health and wellness from the sunshine. Several people have remarked on how much more himself Adam seems when he is in the solarium.
We’re grateful we can provide him with this joy. I always love seeing all of the kitties who thrive on being outside, getting the chance to hang out in the enclosed porch areas at Tabby’s Place. It is one of the many things that makes Tabby’s Place so special and unique for the wonderful cats that call it home.
Adam has been more playful and engaging now that the sun has recharged his batteries. He is often out in his sunbeams, playing with a whole host of cats who enjoy the Suite A solarium. Pepita, Abe, Jimmy, Chewy and Steven are almost always out there with Adam, sleeping on all of the cat beds and greeting any visitors or volunteers who happen by.
One day, I stopped outside to see Adam and couldn’t find him anywhere. I looked inside but couldn’t find him there either. Finally, after a few minutes of searching, I discovered him in the “igloo” that we have in the solarium. He was behind Jimmy, sound asleep. He and Jimmy are so close in coloring and size that they looked like one cat in there! I was relieved to have found him, knowing that he couldn’t have gone far, but really puzzled as to where he might be. Silly boy!
Adam enjoys his visitors. Every few weeks, there is a lovely father who brings his two teenagers with him to just visit with some of the cats. They really enjoy the lobby cats, and they also love to visit with the cats in the Suite A solarium. When they came back to the lobby after one Suite A visit, I asked them what the cats were up to out there that day. They were telling me all about Steven being really affectionate, Jimmy wanting to be petted (which is not always the case), and Abe’s cute little curly ears. I asked if they had interacted with Adam at all. The father laughed and said that Adam had climbed up into his lap and nibbled him on the neck. Classic Adam! The man was very familiar with Adam’s usual antics and thought it was really adorable. I’m so glad that Adam can be so lovable even when he is being naughty!
As you can see from some of the pictures this month, Adam has taken to napping in unusual places. He was asleep with his head in the water dish one day. He was napping with his head going up the ramp to the tunnel that leads indoors. He was asleep in the igloo. You never know where you’re going to find this crazy tabby.
Well, friends, that concludes the antics of our Adam for another month. He thanks you from the bottom of his little tabby heart for all that you give to him. He loves his life at Tabby’s Place and knows that it is thanks to you that he has his wonderful solarium to keep him recharged and full of life. Enjoy the start of summer! Until next month…
