It’s an old joke. Question: Are you alright? Answer: No, I’m half left.
Raisin, whose sense of humor is questionable at best, thinks this is absolutely hilarious! Being only recently born into that enlightened species we scientifically name felis catus (No, autocorrect, not “cactus.” That’s a different, sometimes prickly species.) and more casually identify as feline or cat, Raisin is still a kitten. Hence, Raisin has a rowdy, rambunctious sense of humor, and she uses her entire body to show it.
The thing about Raisin is that her body, well her major limbs, are in fact actually and really half left. That is to say, Raisin is a tripod. She has half the usual amount of left legs for her species. Raisin does not know this. Raisin would not care if she did. Raisin only knows that Raisin is perfect in each and every way…oh, and ceilings can be subject of great interest that require complicated (well, for humans) calisthenics to inspect.
This spotted bit of nuclear energy covered in fur is a personal hazard to anyone who meets her. The danger, of course, is of falling madly, deeply, completely in love at first sight. Speaking from experience, one must be careful when casting eyes upon this tiny dynamo. No dried fruit, Raisin is full of the kind of juice that keeps race cars zooming around to the left lap after lap. She is also juiced up in the way of a sweet and tart lemonade, zesty and refreshing.
Maybe her resemblance to one of my own was what first drew my attention to this petite treat on 3 legs. Maybe it was just how much her very Raisinessence exploded through the window of the kitten suite to bellow through the lobby like speakers set to full bass, no treble. It is all about the bass, after all, and Raisin bellows with her entire being. Raisin knows that “every inch of [her] is perfect from the bottom to the top.”
Raisin IS perfect. Raisin doesn’t just like to bask in the sun, Raisin IS the sun. And, Raisin is perfectly alright, all of the time. Sporting all right and half left limbs, Raisin is thoroughly fantastic through and through. All Raisin really needs is lots of love, loads of toys, very many treats (GI friendly, please!), and a sink inside of a forever home to make her truly whole.
