The Webby awards

by Angela

WebsterIt has been brought to my attention that, while I take many pictures of all the Tabby’s Place cats, I take a fully appropriate disproportionate number of pictures of Webster (say, 50 one hundred meeeellion a month). And isn’t that rather unfair?

To quote various British people: bollocks.

Eyes to see: Tanya

by Angela

TanyaFact: sometimes the eyes do not have it.

If they did, Tanya would have been gone from Tabby’s Place a long time ago. As it turns out, it’s a good thing the girl with the green platter-eyes wasn’t scooped up for her beauty…because she was meant to be chosen for her spirit.

The Thai that binds

by Angela

ThaiSometimes it all catches me off guard. All of a sudden, I’ll see a photo of one precious soul in his forever home, and it will hit me: This cat was a breath away from death. This love, this happiness, this meant-to-be family, almost didn’t happen. And I remember all over again that we get to do something very sacred at Tabby’s Place.

Samuel IV

by Angela

Sam“Sam” has been a name associated with invincible coolness at Tabby’s Place.

The original Sammy lived and thrived long beyond his “expiration date.” The unsinkable Sammie whupped congestive heart failure’s tail for three years. One-and-a-half-eyed tabby Sam was the epitome of sweetness. And, now, zingy little sable Sam has landed the dream of all Samuels: a forever home.

Not-so-tiny news: Tiny’s triumvirate

by Angela

The one and only TinyI once saw a sign proudly announcing the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

Whatever that’s all about, it’s odd, it’s proud to be odd, and that is ten million kinds of awesome. And, now, it seems that three of our cats have decided to start their own branch.
