I’m sure I’m somewhat prejudiced, but I have always thought the furniture we have in our Cat Suites has both form and function. But I ran across this Japanse house that is simply beyond cool.

Welcome Home, Freda

After being on 24-hour watch and intravenous fluids for several days at the emergency hospital, Freda’s attending veterinarians felt she was finally strong enough to be sent home to Tabby’s Place where she was eagerly welcomed by the staff, volunteers, and a very excited me. My Officemates are Feline

There are many great aspects to my job of running Tabby’s Place, but one of the best is having cats for officemates. I’m guessing that outside of home offices there are not many cats in offices. So I was planning on a blog post about my officemates, since not many people get to enjoy this during their workday.

So Jonathan came singing - gleefully - into the Community Room. Knowing that we’ve been waiting for results from Grady’s weekend CT scan - and knowing that nothing makes Jonathan merrier than good news for a cat - I spun around immediately. “Is there news about Grady??”

A Tribute to a TP Alum: Smurf

Yesterday I received email with the news that Smurf, a Tabby’s Place alumnus, “went to Heaven on Friday, March 6, 2009.” I was greatly saddened to hear this … my mind flashed back to the day Smurf came to Tabby’s Place.
