Update for June

June’s Journal #33

Dear June sponsors,

Hi, everyone.  It’s me, June, and I am so happy to be writing my 33rd journal entry on this gorgeous day.  Mother Nature has been very good to us these past few weeks and the temps are like spring already. I am happy about that as now I can watch the birds fly by and see all the leaves popping on the trees, and the flowers…all the pretty flowers outside make me happy.

So we are having St. Patty’s Day soon.  I hear some of the staff talking about corned beef and cabbage and then Easter with all the goodies.  I have lots of goodies here at the sanctuary, but they are not for people.  I like my kibble and my cat treats and my wet food.  I would love for you to bring some for me when you visit Tabby’s Place.  We kitties love food donations.

Scribe hasn’t been to see me yet this month as she has two very sick kitties.  Pierpont is losing weight and Clarrissa walks in lots of circles most of the time.  Scribe has taken them to her vet, but she thinks they might be going to Rainbow Bridge soon.  I am fine here at the sanctuary and have no plans to see Rainbow Bridge for a very long time.  My health is great again this month.  With the help of all the staff here and the volunteers, I am thriving.  But I have been a bit sluggish lately.  Everyone thinks it is the winter doldrums.

So, there are three new kitties in my Community Room:  Tipsy, Beatty, and Bing.  I think I will have to up my game and keep them in line.  One of my responsibilities here at the sanctuary is securing my space.  I have to keep the staff on task at all the meetings with the volunteers while staying a bit away from Carley Rose and Claire.  Now I have three newbies to show the ropes.  I hope we can all be friends and play.

I really would like to have some visitors since I am in good health and ready to run around the Community Room for fun.  It has been a while since my last back, chin and neck rubs and I am really hoping someone will come and give me a good massage.  And I am still waiting for that special someone to adopt me and take me home to my very own place and with my very own people.  I am well taken care of here at Tabby’s Place, but nothing beats a forever home.

So, dear sponsors and cat lovers everywhere, take some time to visit  Tabby’s Place and come to see me.  You might see my little legs sticking out from under the hugs blanket on the big bed on the floor in the Community Room.  Trust me, I’m under that blanket somewhere.  And take a tour of the entire sanctuary to see all of the kitties here.  We love people.

Be well and warm and enjoy your St. Patty’s Day if you celebrate.  I celebrate each day here at Tabby’s Place.

Love to all,
June
