Update for June

Greetings!

Happy December to my dear sponsors and kitty lovers everywhere.  I have lots to share with you all this month.

As you know from last month, I am a rock star.  I have a huge fan base with all my sponsors, but now I even have my own posse!  Yes, I have a Tabby’s Place following now as well.  My friend, Bianca, is a little wobbly girl.  She has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), also referred to as “Wobbly Cat Syndrome.” So she is quite wobbly but still manages to get around on her own.  She makes her wobbly way around the Community Room until she gets to the warm and cozy blankie bed, which we love to share.

Then there is Peg Leg Pete.  He is the friend I have been waiting for all my life.  We both snuggle with each other in the big Community Room bed.  And we both love our head and chin scratches.  Since it has been a cold month so far, we are doing lots of snuggles and getting lots of head and chin scratches.

Alas, even rock stars get sick.  I wound up with another UTI ( urinary tract infection ).  The staff put me on something called an oral antibiotic, which means they had to shove a pill down my throat.  I don’t much like taking pills, but I was leaking some urine again and I had to get this infection under control.  I am fine now, just in time for all the holiday celebrations.

A lady named Sheila who spends a lot of time here comes to see me on Sundays.  Well, knowing I am a finicky lady when it comes to food, she brought me that Fancy Feast with the juicy middle. Boy, did I love that…I gobbled it right up and didn’t leave a crumb for anyone else.  (If any of you dear Sponsors would like to donate some, I would love it for a Christman gift.)  But, the good stuff did not stop with the food.  Miss Sheila spent a lot of time giving me a head, face, and ear massage. It was a glorious time for me.

I hope everyone is safe and well and getting ready to celebrate all the holidays in December—Hannuka, Christmas, and Kwanza.. And then there will be New Year’s Eve. We have to send 2020 packing as I am ready to move into 2021 with everyone being happy and healthy.

So to all my dear sponsors and friends:  have a wonderful holiday season and come to visit me at the sanctuary. Maybe one of you out there will adopt me and take me home for my Christmas gift.

Love to all,
June, the Moon

p.s..we have to think of a good rock star name for me…maybe some of you can send in some suggestions!
