Movie Star June!

Happy November Dear Sponsors and Tabby’s Place Lovers!

Welcome to my latest journal.

Just check out my latest photo. I could be a movie star with this pose.  Look at those beautiful green/yellow eyes….and did you see how silky and shiny my coat is these days?  This is because of the great care I am getting here at the sanctuary.  Don’t misunderstand me…ALL the kitties at Tabby’s Place get the best of care.  But some of us are older and are showing their age.  Even though I am paralyzed, I am so lucky to be here and to be in great health.

So I lost a bit of weight recently, and the staff got worried. Weight loss in dogs and cats is not good unless they are overweight and on special food. But I am okay and bounced back to my healthy weight again.  The staff did some tests to see if I had another UTI (urinary tract infection), but I did not. So all is well.  (I thought I could drop a bit since Thanksgiving and Christmas and Hannukah are coming soon and I was hoping for some extra food in my dishes. )

Eyes on the prize.. nice comfy cat bed!

I am so lucky to be able to climb. And I started climbing the cat trees again.  A new kitty was added to the Community Room, so the furniture had to be moved.  Honestly, these folks redecorate my space all the time.  But this was a good redo… the credenza is now flanked by two cat trees—one on each end.  And I figured out how to get into a nice, cozy bed on the credenza by climbing the cat trees.  I am really good at this and have strong upper body muscles in spite of my bottom being paralyzed.

So, I guess you all know by now that I am a black kitty.  It is kind of obvious.  I never thought I would make the big time, but I am a movie star and am in a video with other black kitties, called “WooHoo for Black Cats.”  And you can see it here in my journal.

Black cats are like black dogs sometimes—sadly, often the last to be adopted.  But I am ready to be your own personal rock star.  I love to be petted and give great hugs and kitty kisses.  I love to eat chicken and liver cat food, pate, please!  And I am easy to care for as long as you can express me several times a day.

I am so looking forward to all the holidays at Tabby’s Place.  The staff is always super happy at holiday time.  And we kitties get extra love and attention.  But I would still love a home of my own.  Maybe that will be my Christmas present this year.

So, enjoy the video, check out my pictures, and think about how sweet I am—Rock Star June, or Miss Junie Moon ( my stage name )!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! And a very special thank you for all you do for me!

Love and kitty hugs and kisses,
June
