Update for Carrot

Greetings, Carrot Lovers!

Carrot has been in good health and spirits this month. He has some exciting news to share! His long-time suitemate, Wilbur, has been adopted! So far, the news from his new home is all good. We hope this will relieve some tensions in the room. A new kitty, Theodore, recently moved into the suite. He’s a shy guy who enjoys human attention. Theodore has a history of urinary blockage so this is the suite for him. Here’s hoping he and Carrot will be fast friends!

We have some wacky weather going on in New Jersey right now. This week we experienced very unhealthy air quality due to the wildfires in Canada. The skies have been tinted an eerie shade of yellow and we can smell the smoke. If you’ve seen the pictures on the news, we didn’t have an experience quite as bad as Manhattan, but it’s definitely close. For this reason, we closed the solariums and canceled stroller walks to protect the kitties. While most of the cats have taken this in stride, we do have a few who are unhappy with us humans. Thankfully, Carrot is adjusting to life without a solarium for a few days. Of course, this means he is stuck inside with Sketch. Thankfully, she has kept the drama to a minimum this month!

Through the glass Carrot eyes up Mika, a new kitty in the lobby.

As always, Carrot has enjoyed our visits and his stroller walks. He’s a volunteer favorite (don’t tell the other cats!), so he gets tons of attention! He didn’t have any Aged to Purrfection outings this month, but I’m hoping that will change next month. We have a Whisker Wednesday planned with a local breast cancer group, and he was such a hit that they’ve requested him again!

Thank you for sponsoring our sweet boy!

By the way, if you enjoy stories about our cats, you may enjoy our blog, where we post at least three times every week.
