Whenever a cat arrives at Tabby’s Place, our staff has to be very careful. Most likely, this feline is not known to anyone on the staff, and they cannot predict how the cat will act, especially because Tabby’s Place is a new environment for him or her. But sometimes our staff gets lucky. Take our Wilbur, for example. He’s a large brown tabby male with a white muzzle and frankly, he’s a bit scruffy looking. But from the very first interaction with us, Wilbur has been outgoing and friendly with the humans around him; it didn’t seem as though his journey to the sanctuary or even the subsequent initial exam caused him much anxiety at all.
Wilbur is FIV+, so he’s one of our Special Needs crew. He’s also quite the talker! We think we was born early in 2007. He’s still new in the FIV Suite, but so far we have not seen any aggression toward other cats from this guy.
We know that an FIV+ feline isn’t right for everyone. But we also know that this gentle boy deserves a loving, forever home. If you think Wilbur might be a good fit for your household, come in and say hello.
