Update for Adam

Happy April, friends!  Adam and I hope that this month finds you happy and enjoying life!

Something is not quite right with our little tabby boy again this month, but he’s not telling us what it is.  Adam is no longer constipated; he’s well hydrated, and he’s even gained some of the weight that he lost last month.  All of the tests we have run have come back with normal results.  But there’s no denying that Adam’s just not himself.  We are keeping a close eye on our dear boy and hoping he’s simply in a funk.

I am starting to think that Adam may be running on solar power, and his battery is just depleted at the moment.  Again this month, Adam has spent most of his time sleeping.  It is rare to peek into Suite A and find Adam awake.  He has continued to enjoy sleeping with one arm draped over his face.  It’s very cute, but also a little concerning that he just won’t wake up and be the lively Adam that we know and love.

There was one very nice, sunny Saturday a few weeks ago where Adam was out in the solarium, awake.  He was extremely affectionate and enjoying his day.  He came right over to me and gave me lots of snuggles and kisses.  Then he proceeded to groom Abe!  I have never really seen him interact with another cat in such a sweet way before.  He was really licking Abe on the head and snuggling up to him.  This is definitely something new for Adam, who has never been a cat’s cat.  I was thrilled to see this interaction and, of course, to get some affection from Adam myself.

We’re hoping that, as the sun continues to rise in the prelude to summer, Adam will recharge his batteries and be more active and alert.  It will be nice to see him back in the solarium on a regular basis, soaking in the warmth and enjoying his friends.  I will be sure to take any tours that I give into Suite A solarium, so that Adam has a chance to get some loving.

Have a wonderful month, dear friends.  Adam thanks you for your support of him and Tabby’s Place.  He is so proud of the place where he lives and knows that it is heaven on earth for cats like him.  He deeply understands that Tabby’s Place exists because of the generosity of people like you.  Head butts and gentle licks to you from Adam.  Until next month…
