Dear friends,
I’m excited to announce that Durin and I have two new roommates! One is a sweet, big, silver boy named Andy. He’s what they call a tripod because he only has 3 legs, and he gets around just fine.
The other is a tiny tortoiseshell girl named Tortellini. Like many cats in a new environment, she’s scared and needs some time to come around.
Meanwhile, as the only girl in our suite, I guess she wanted some privacy. She has a cool pink curtain at the front of her crate. For now, us boys just leave her alone. We’ve got plenty of time to get to know each other.
Durin and I continue to spend most of our time in the solarium, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. From here, we can see our old roommate, Oram, whose solarium is right across from ours. Durin has joined the stroller crew, which means he goes on stroller rides outside when the weather permits. He waves at me as he goes by outside our solarium.
BREAKING NEWS!!!!! Just as we were about to send you this update, the most magical thing happened. I got adopted into a very special home with my new roommate, Andy! A lovely woman from Michigan was looking for a companion for her cat, Tolstoy, who is a “double positive” like me (FIV + FeLV). She drove all the way to New Jersey to meet us and couldn’t decide on one, so she adopted two of us.
To say I’m excited would be an understatement. Although I love my home at Tabby’s Place, I’m looking forward to this adventure and getting to know my new family.
Your love and support has helped make this possible for me. You are my friend for life and I will always be so grateful for everything you’ve done for me. I’m sending you lots of kitty love and furry kisses on my way to my new home.
