Two to FOUR FEET! they said.
HISTORIC PROPORTIONS! they said.
STOCK UP ON RING DINGS AND MOUNTAIN DEW BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE! they said.
WE’RE ALL FIXIN’ TO DIIIIIIE! they said. AND NOW FOR A MESSAGE FROM SHOVELS ‘R US!
But Blizzard Stella was…well…not so stellar.
Or, to be precise, it was spectacularly stellar, in that it was not, in fact, a blizzard.*
So as we sit here with our seven inches of snow, grateful beyond measure for the blizzard that wasn’t,** here are some all-weather cats to enchant your icicles off:
And remember: love’s the only forecast that will never fizzle.
*They tell me that there are people who love blizzards. I understand people who love Blizzards, but blizzards? Who are these people, and can’t we help them somehow? Fie on blizzards. Basta with the blizzards. Bollocks to all blizzards. BRING ON THE DANCING DAFFODILS.
**Really, really grateful. But for those for whom this blizzard most definitely was, please stay safe and cozy, hug your cats tight, and know that our prayers and love are with you.
Important: Top thumbnail and first photo of Suite A cat pile were taken today by Karina, who, unlike me, was both brave and necessary enough to drive into Tabby’s Place today. Props to our brave staff and volunteers who weathered icy roads to get our cats fed and clean and insulin-ed while I sat at home in my “ugly pants.” It may not have been historic proportions, but neither was it happy driving, and you guys are friggin’ warriors. CUDDLE PUDDLES
We always love gratuitous cat photos! Thank you for making us smile.
I was to crawl in there with all those fuzzy babies!
