People with lots of letters after their names say that January is very, very hard. They say that more of us are sad and snarky and downright dangerous to ourselves and others in this month.
They say a lot of things.
But Tabby’s Place is here for you. Just in case January has you thinking about doing something drastic and irreversible, put down the BeDazzler, because things are about to get a lot better.
Bleu’s famille writes:
It is hard to believe that Gorgonzola is Bleu‘s mom apart from those sea green eyes.
Bleu is doing great! He is a happy kitty and he is very loved.
I’m told by People Who Know that Bleu actually donned a yarmulke this past Chanukah, but his family preserved Bleu’s dignity by not including any photos proving this report. (Note to Bleu’s family: if such photos do, indeed, exist, I would be happy to trade you my personal dignity for them. Um, if I had any.)
Yet these yarmulkeless photos capture the very thing I remember most vividly about Bleu: the way he gazes. Bleu is one of those few precious creatures who really, truly, deeply listen to you. As you talk to him, he stares deep into your soul, pondering up each word. You get the impression he’s tucking every moment away in some safe and spacious place inside himself. From the looks of these photos, that’s true now more than ever.
So, kittens, put your January jumpiness to rest. This cheese doesn’t stand alone…and neither do you.
