Do you ever contemplate the cosmic fortune cookie? Do you ever squint between the folds of the galaxy and try to read the words? Do you ever leap around like a photon simply because you are here at the same time as marmalade kittens and moonbeams and coffee?
We love naming cats, but we know they have their own unspoken names. We love calling cats, but we know they call themselves something more beautiful. We know cats keep their secrets, but every once in a great while, their name and our name are one and the same.

It appears that, contrary to our entire cultural education, being beautiful is not enough. It may get you a Pixar prince. It may splash you larger-than-life on the billboard. It may even offer you the opportunity to “influence.” It will not get you adopted.
Fergie enjoys being enjoyed. So do I, when I’m honest. You only get to be a Valentine when you’re honest.
