Through no fault of her own, Aaliyah’s situation plunged from sublime to hopeless then up into Tabby’s Place, where “hopeless” is eradicated as a matter of insistence and persistence. Aaliyah is discovering exactly what that means, even as she exemplifies the meanings (yes, multiples) of her name.
Caring for cats in a sanctuary requires more than just feeding, no matter what the cats may say. Grooming the cats at the Place of all places, that is to say Tabby’s Place, is important for their hygiene and for nourishing connections.
Some cats are dainty, with delicate paws and pert ears. Other cats are solid, with meaty toe beans and firm centers. Many Tabby’s Place cats are made of weightier matter.
At Tabby’s Place, if one is a ceramic cat of beauty and poise, it is difficult to retain one’s head in situ when in situ means in the lobby.
There are sentences one would never expect to hear. Weirdly combined nouns all mashed up with verbs that don’t seem to work together? Such things are commonplace at Tabby’s Place.
Being transiently ill is quite unpleasant. (Major respect to those with chronic, long-term conditions). But, as with all things in this world, nothing lasts forever.
