Kitty LeFey’s Cosmos: Sixty Feet
On a recent Saturday, a park pavilion in Ringoes, NJ overflowed with staff and volunteers from Tabby’s Place. The reason for the gathering, an annual tradition, was gratitude.

Tabby’s Place sponsorships are a very serious and an extremely silly matter.
One small member of a treasured horde, in August of 2024, Nerf came to Tabby’s Place where he spent a lot of time hidden behind a curtain on a shelf.
A young, grey and cream stripey cat arrived in Ringoes, NJ just in the nick of time.
Oh, no. Oh, my! OH, YES!! Nerf has found his forever home. MINE!!!
All it took to draw the first cat to Tabby’s Place was for there to be some portion of a building. Flash forward to building Quinn’s Corner, and the initial finding was proven true again.
Brownie arrived at Tabby’s Place over 2,000 cats ago. He was adopted, but he recently boomeranged (came back).
It was not a pumpkin-shaped golden carriage that brought a cinder-colored cat to Tabby’s Place a short time ago.
Every time a cat comes to Tabby’s Place, we find ourselves testing out new ground.
Cats are nothing if not lordly, even when they cower lowly out of fear.
Right now, we have a special opportunity for donations to be matched, up to $22,000.
Tabby’s Place rescues sweet seniors who have nowhere else to turn. Their hearts are full of love, and these gentle souls deserve tenderness, respect, and excellent care.
Please give from your golden heart, so senior cats can have happy golden years. Your
donation will go where it is most needed.
Harriet, age 16, was once forgotten and alone. A car accident left her with life-threatening
injuries. But the best days of Harriet’s life were ahead: she became a Tabby’s Place cat.
Surgery saved her life, and love mended her broken heart. Today, this shaggy sweetheart
reigns in our Executive Director’s office, receiving world-class care for her kidney
disease and arthritis.
Steven, age 15, has lived at Tabby’s Place all his life. He may have numerous Special
Needs, but Steven is as happy as springtime itself. Our little “elder statescat” is thriving
through his golden years, enfolded in love and adored by all.
