Update for Mona

Hello my dear sponsors,

It is me, Mona, lead reporter from the FIV+ Suite, Tabby’s Place, USA…and your favorite kitty! I am here to bring you all the news and happenings from our Suite.

With mixed feelings, last month we said farewell to Mr. Grey Fluffy Pants, who is now in his furever home. Yes, that’s right, Mr. GFP has happily found the adopter of his dreams! We are thrilled for him, but we will miss him. We hope that, one day, each of us will enjoy the same wonderful turn of events.

For now, though, we are living a great life here. Wolfie has gained back the weight he’d lost (and then some), and he is doing very well. McNulty seems happier and more peaceful, and he’s sometimes been seen sleeping near Amos. Lester still needs time to adjust to McNulty, as he sometimes starts a bit of trouble with him. Newman and Charlie, as usual, are enjoying the laps of all human visitors. Yet, graciously, they will immediately relinquish any and every lap to Adelaide, upon her request.

And, guess what? we have recently welcomed a new FIV+ cat to our Suite. His name is Dwayne. He is a big beautiful boy, with an unusual coat. As you can see in his photo, he is grey, with an undercoat of brown fur. While I don’t know him well yet, he seems to be an absolute sweetheart, with a very unusual meow. It sounds a little like a bullfrog! I look forward to getting to know him better in the weeks ahead.

As for me, I am very serious about my job as a reporter, and take note of everything that happens around me. I am happy to report that my health is good. On most days, I enjoy sitting out in the solarium. Even though Mr. GFP has left, I feel so lucky to have so many friends to keep me company. It is also good to know that, when the temperature soars, I can come back inside and relax with my cohorts in air-conditioned comfort.

Thank you for taking such an interest in me, and so generously helping to keep me happy and healthy. I will report back to you next month. Until then, please take care, and know that I am thinking of you.

xoxoxo
