Update for June

June’s Journal #22

Wow, can you feel it?  The excitement in the air…

We all know that the groundhog lied, but the temperature today is warm, and maybe winter is gone now until next year.  I am safe and toasty inside Tabby’s Place and want to give a very warm welcome and hello to all my dear sponsors.

So Scribe came to visit me on March 8th. She heard that I have been cuddling with Impy. On this praticular Friday, Pixie greeted Scribe at the door of the Community Room, with Carley Rose watching the action from a cat tree.  I was in my red plaid bed when Scribe found me, and I got an ear rub and a mini back rub.

But I decided hide-and-seek was more important for today and scooted behind a cat tree in the corner. While I was purring a bit, Pixie crawled into the cat tube in back of Scribe, who was sitting on the floor in front of me.  Pixie came over for some pets and then wanted to drink some water while I watched.  I did get a great back rub from Scribe, but I let her know I did not want my ears or head done today. I am still a bit edgy from my ear surgery last month.

My ear is looking pretty good, just a tab floppy, but much better than last month, before the stitches came out.  So Scribe managed to get in a few more good back rubs and scratches.

While Pixie came by for another pet, I scootched into my red plaid bed and curled all the way up in the back.  Scribe moved the bed closer to her so she could reach inside and pet and rub me.  Then I heard Pixie crawl into the cube next to me, with Scribe’s help, and settle in and make a nest in the blankies while she gave herself a good bath.

Scribe gave me a wonderful massage while I was inside my red plaid bed.  And, just like that, all the kitties were asleep and it was as quiet as could be.  The only sound we heard was the water from our fountain. Carley Rose kept watch high atop her tower while we all slept and took our post-lunch, mid-afternoon, pre-supper naps.  We love our sleep!

So, dear sponsors, I am fine and healthy and happy here at Tabby’s Place. Please come and visit me if you can…and let me know if you know someone who might like to adopt me.  I would love a home of my own with someone who knows about Special Needs cats like me.  But if you can’t adopt me, stop by and think about adopting another kitty from Tabby’s Place.  We are so wonderful, and each of us would love our own forever home.

Happy March and St. Patty’s Day to all!

Purrs and kitty kisses,
June
