Update for June

June’s Journal #18

November 15th, 2018

November is a wonderful month for me. Here at the sanctuary, we are all aglow with good vibes for all the upcoming events. First, it is truly fall now. The temperature has fallen outside even though it is warm inside and so full of the warmth of love for all of the residents. And the leaves are falling everywhere. I am very happy I am not outside anymore like I used to be before I got hit by that car and was brought to Tabby’s Place.

Second, we are having an event on November 17th: Thanksgiving with the Cats. I am very excited about this as lots of people will come to visit and to spend time with all of us and with the staff. I think there will be goodies for the human guests. We cats always have lots of goodies as our bellies are always full! We are constantly being checked for any health issues as well.

Third, it is human Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 22nd. That means staff will be celebrating this holiday with their families and friends and enjoying good food and good company and giving thanks for many wonders in their lives.

Well, guess what? I have so very much to be thankful for! When I was hit by that nasty car and left for dead, a wonderful human took me to a school and I eventually made it here to Tabby’s Place, this beautiful cat sanctuary where I was immediately vetted and taken care of by animal lovers!

Then I was given my own cage until I was able to mix with the other cats and could have my own room. Now, I have my own office. You see, the Community Room is my area to patrol. Not only do I have to keep the cat residents in line, but I also have to make sure the humans have their staff meetings on a regular basis and that they are always looking out for our interests.

I love to meet new volunteers who are amazed at my agility. That nasty car left me with paralysis of my back legs, so I have to scoot around the best I can. And I have to admit that I do a pretty good job of scooting. I get my mani and pedi each month and get a really good physical exam, probably better medical care than some humans. And the staff takes care of my personal toilette several times a day.
I am happy and well fed and healthy and have all of this to be thankful for, not only on kitty Thanksgiving and human Thanksgiving, but on every day of the year.

But I have saved the best for last. Dear Sponsors, if you check out the Tabby’s Place Facebook page post of October 12th, 2018, you will see my movie debut video. I am on film in the Community Room with my newest friend, Puzzle. Wow, I always knew I would be a celebrity one day, but it sure did come sooner than I thought. It takes folks years to break into movies, and I did it in just a few. Puzzle and I shared some food. I was reminded of Lady and the Tramp sharing pasta, but since kitties don’t eat pasta, Puzzle and I shared some wet food. Yum…delish….

So now I can relax and enjoy all the wonderful upcoming events. Please stop by and visit me and think about adopting me or any kitty from Tabby’s Place. We are great companions and I would surely love a home of my own with people who can care for a special needs kitty like me. Until then, I am here at the sanctuary loving life every day…

Love and kitty kisses,
June

p.s. I will be entertaining guests and might consider signing some pawgraphs…I am a movie star now, so my time is limited (haha).
