Happy June to you, your family, and fur family! I hope this spring has had you sprung outside to enjoy some of the delightful weather. We’ve certainly had a lot of fair skies here in New Jersey.

Cotton is getting around these days. He and Rose enjoy frequent visits to the Community Room to watch the goings-on. Cotton’s buddy Olive hangs out just outside the Community Room door wondering what she is missing. She gets little glimpses of the passing kitties and humans, and enjoys every second of it!

Overall, Cotton has been in good health this month. He certainly has a healthy appetite and tries to get into everyone’s food. This doesn’t do his GI system very much good, so we have to remain careful about keeping him away from non-prescription foods. This month, we added in some mild pain medication to Cotton’s daily routine.

He seems to favor his right rear leg when moving around. We know he has a luxating patella on both hind legs, and when this is combined with his missing feet and spinal injury, it could cause discomfort. The medications seem to help him to be more comfortable.
