Update for Carrot

Greetings Carrot Lovers!

Carrot has remained in good health and spirits this month. He (along with several other of our therapy cats) has moved out of the Aged to Purrfection program. As some of our kitties are getting older, the experience was becoming too much for them. I had hoped to take him to Whisker Wednesday at the local breast cancer group but found out that day that he was no longer participating. The ladies really missed seeing him, but they were happy to meet sweet little Boobalah.

Looking adorable

Thankfully, we have had great weather this month and the cats are taking full advantage!  Carrot is loving his solarium time! I don’t know about you, but I certainly love those days when I can get comfy in the sun without a care in the world. Carrot has been enjoying the sun, the warm weather, and the bird watching.  We even get the occasional deer or bunny!

Carrot has also welcomed a new kitty to his suite. Her name is Betty, and she is rather shy and nervous. She came from a home that had become too stressful for her, which resulted in some inappropriate elimination habits. Carrot and his suitemates understand this very well as they have known how difficult this situation can become.

Carrot also has a great view into the lobby from his suite. We often see him checking out the kitties in the lobby, such as Mika with the big fluffy tail!

I have to admit that I have been swamped with work and have been unable to visit our adorable Carrot since mid-June. I have spoken to both staff and other volunteers, who have assured me that he is doing wonderfully, loving his visits, and loving his stroller walks! He is a popular guy and gets loads of visitors, so I know he is feeling the love, even if I am not there.

Enjoying the solarium!

Our new expansion, Quinn’s Corner, is also coming along nicely. I’ve heard a rumor of a grand opening event in the fall and I will keep you posted. As always, thank you for sponsoring our adorable Carrot!
