Update for Carrot

Update for Carrot

Greetings, Carrot Fans!

I would like to start by introducing myself as your new correspondent. I have written for a number of Special Needs kitties over the years, and am honored to now write for Carrot, as Karina takes a well-deserved break from her overloaded plate as Volunteer Director at Tabby’s Place.

Our sweet boy had a great month, medically speaking. The only drama this month is related to his new suitemates. The new addition, Sketch, has been causing a great deal of trouble.

Lego and Kika also moved into Carrot’s suite. They tried to settle in but were bullied by Sketch. Luckily, they were placed on adoption hold with a very understanding couple.

In the meantime, Carrot has had to deal with Sketch trying to control the upper ramps of the suite. This causes trouble for Carrot, who likes to go back and forth as he pleases from the suite and solarium. He has gotten into it with Sketch on numerous occasions. Thankfully, Carrot is tougher than he looks:  he won’t take any of Sketch’s nonsense! Sketch also gets Alex worked up, which then riles up Wilbur. The fur is flying and we are doing our best to get the boys under control.

Meanwhile, Theodore moved into the suite. He’s a sweet, shy, buff boy who has a history of urinary blockage. He needs to be on the special diet in that room. With any luck, he can stand united with Carrot!

On our visits, Carrot is always the most loving boy. He did not have any Aged to Purrfection appearances this month. With any luck, he will visit with some of his elderly friends next month.

Carrot loves the outings and the people adore him! On my last visit, a fellow volunteer had Carrot out for a stroller walk on the grounds. It was a beautiful, sunny, 70-degree day, and he definitely enjoyed every minute of it. She took him around to show him the new construction of Quinn’s Corner, and then out to the garden. Carrot had a great time watching the birds and butterflies!

Thank you for sponsoring our special boy!

Your correspondent,
Nikki
