Update for Adam

Happy December, Friends!

Adam and I send you oodles of holiday cheer as we enter this most festive of seasons.

Adam is doing very well health-wise.  He had some instances of large, very firm stools, so the vet team made some adjustments to his medications.  We hope this will make him more comfortable while being expressed.  Otherwise, Adam has been a happy, friendly, affectionate little guy this month.

I am still amazed at Adam’s newfound affection.  He used to be really interested in attention from people but had gotten away from that for a few years.  Now he is asking for pets and hugs.  I love it.  As I was passing by Suite A’s window a few weeks ago early in the morning, I saw one of our staff members holding Adam in her arms like a baby and giving him a big cuddle.  It was such a sweet sight. Adam has been asking me for hugs lately too, which I am more than happy to oblige!

Suite A has undergone some changes in the population of cats who live there.  Pepita and Rose moved to the lobby.  They are such super sweet cats and the lobby is the perfect place for both of them to receive some much-needed human attention and to be ambassadors for Tabby’s Place to visitors and donors.  A new young male cat named Gator has moved in.  Gator was living in Suite C, but there were too many strong personalities in there, so Gator made the move to Suite A.  It remains to be seen how Gator’s personality will fare with my Suite A buddies.  Carbon is still here, quacking away, and Mishush has returned from a brief stint in Suite C to bounce around Suite A and drive all the other cats crazy.  She is absolutely adorable!

Adam has had a fun month hanging out in both the solarium and the suite.  We have had alternating days of warm and then cold, so he makes his move each day depending on the weather.  He has really taken to sleeping in a small cat-carrying crate that is in Suite A which is there for Roxy to be fed in.  Adam is often in there just snoozing away.  I guess he likes having his own little cave to be cozy.

Adam and I thank you for all that you do for the kitties of Tabby’s Place.  So many miracles happen here every day and it is because of generous people like you.  In this season of miracles, may you have peace and joy, time with family and friends, and a wondrous month full of good cheer.
