Majestic and Merry March to you, my Marvelous Sponsor!
Phew, what a whirlwind at Tabby’s Place. I feel like I barely batted my big, beautiful green eyes and gave a wiggle waggle of my tail, and poof, February was gone. Now, I get that it is the shortest month on our kitty calendar, but maybe they are right when they say time just flies when you are having fun!

First, I must say I am really quite proud of myself, since I managed to keep my beloved personal staff on their toes this month. An open wound appeared on my back leg, and they have been scratching the tops of their heads, behind their ears, and under their chins too, trying to figure out why and what happened.
Suffice to say, I know the how and why of it, but of course, I am not telling them! They have been dressing me up with these pretty little bandages to protect my gorgeous leg and help me heal. Fortunately for me, bandage time is not quite as bad as bladder expression time. Of course, being my sweet and sassy self, I still just might let them know what I think of this process!
But I am sad to say it is remotely possible I did not think this situation through fully… to keep my bandage clean and dry, the people around here find it absolutely necessary to put me in what they call a crate (I call it a jail cell) while the lobby floor is cleaned.
I found this new routine horrific in the beginning, but being me, I have actually found an upside to it! I hang out in my personal (and ridiculous) cell for mealtime, which means my Lobby mates do not have the opportunity to try and devour any of my food. It is fabulous to relax and enjoy mealtime at my leisure, and it saves on the hisses when someone tries to steal my food!

Speaking of my neighbors, have you heard about the newest resident of the Lobby – Colonel Peabody? He is paraplegic like me, and black and white, too! He is so very handsome, quite kind and very funny! He gave me a red heart and some of his treats on Valentine’s Day, and we ended up spending our entire day together. Whenever he is around, my heart speeds up, and I feel all happy inside—I have never felt like this before!
But my friend MooMoo tells me to watch my tail, because Princess Prescott has her eyes set on my Colonel for herself. Not sure why he would want to spend time with anyone other than me! I have even shared my throne with him! I heard the staff talking about my boyfriend and the fact that I am in love. Fortuntately, Col. Peabody is quite amused by my sassiness, and he finds me most endearing.
The highlight of our month was the Your Feline Valentine event. What a wonderful day it was! I am so grateful to everyone who was either thinking of me or braved the snow to stop in for a visit. My afternoon was full of visitors and head scratches—boy, did I feel the Valentine love! I was on my best behavior and spent my share of time selling kisses for $0.50 each. As for the Hissing Booth, well, my hisses are always free, especially for the staff expressing my bladder! It really was a terrific day, and I am most grateful for your love all year long – thank you!

Oh, did you hear about March Madness for the Advanced Needs Cats at Tabby’s Place? There is a special bracket posted on Facebook and Instagram featuring 16 of the finest advanced needs kitties, with weekly voting narrowing the finalists down to one, who will be crowned the Meow Madness Champion.

Now, you know I excel in all forms of festive feline fun and frivolity, so it is probably not necessary to tell you I am the top contender for this award. Bu I would really really appreciate, with all of my big warm feline heart, if you would vote for me for top kitty. Voting for the final four opens Saturday, March 15th.
I hear bribing voters is forbidden, but as long as we don’t tell, they will never know if I pay you in treats or my special Olive kisses! If I win, do you think they will give me a tiara?
I am sending you my deepest gratitude and love for a happy month ahead. I am always so appreciative of you, my faithful friend and sponsor, for supporting me and making my days brighter here at Tabby’s Place. Thank you for all you do for me!
So until next month… lots of love,
Queen Olive
