You might think she was named for her size … and you wouldn’t be wrong.

But Moo Moo’s most massive feature is her heart.

If she were a drink, Moo Moo would be a strawberry milkshake with two straws. If she were a painting, she would be a watercolor masterpiece of a peaceful pasture. And if she were any other animal, she would be the gentlest cow ever to gaze at you with big, gentle eyes.

Lucky for us, Moo Moo is a cat of considerable size and even bigger kindness. Dressed in soft pastels, our gentle girl would like to wrap the whole world in her heart.

Moo Moo’s sweetness is especially stunning given her history. Like every Tabby’s Place cat, this gracious girl came to us from a hopeless situation. Moo Moo lost her home and the only person she had ever loved. All eighteen of her pounds mourned…but Moo Moo did not give up. How could she? Everywhere she turned, the hills were alive with the sound of soft voices cooing her name. Her big, broken heart opened again.

But a troubling sound punctuated Moo Moo’s purrs. Moo Moo developed a cough that just wouldn’t quit. Our vet team diagnosed her with asthma. Then there is that winsome “blip” on Moo Moo’s nose. A biopsy confirmed that this is a form of cancer. Fortunately, this is a low-grade tumor, and a specialist confirmed that no aggressive treatment is currently necessary. Both of Moo Moo’s conditions are treated with steroids.

As a Tabby’s Place cat, Moo Moo will always have everything she needs to thrive…including peace and happiness. Since stress can exacerbate her condition, Moo Moo’s “medicine” has included a move to the land of milk and honey: our Lobby. As sunbeams pour through skylights onto her perfect face, Moo Moo receives a daily parade of lovestruck staff, volunteers, and visitors. She is also spared the consternation of certain salty cats, since the Lobby is a land of love bugs.

Moo Moo is such a marvel, we believe her forever home is out there. But we know it will take a patient person with a super-sized heart to care for our plush princess. Until that day, you can be her faithful friend. Your generous donations will be a lifeline of love, month after month.
