Update for Yardley

Greetings, Yardley Sponsors!

I hope you are staying warm and safe. We are covered in snow here in this part of NJ.

I think you know that Yardley mostly lives in my younger son’s room. She likes to go into my older son’s room and hiss at the other cats and the rabbits. This is quite stressful for everyone. We have Yardley on fluoxetine, which is generic Prozac. This does help a bit but does not solve the problem.

We have been trying to keep Yardley in my younger son’s room. This is actually two rooms, a bedroom, and a playroom. There is plenty of space. Yardley has two litter boxes, two water bowls, dry food, and wet food. There are cat beds that Yardley likes but she would still go to the other room and hiss at everyone.

Then came in the super fluffy beds.

It all started with a donation. A donation of the fluffiest beds ever to have existed. This donation was given to the cats that live at Tabby’s Place. We all thought these were ordinary nice beds. The cats knew better. These fluffy beds were all the cats wanted a bed to be. A lovely volunteer noticed this and donated many more of these beds.

I knew what needed to be done. Yardley needed one of these beds. Thankfully, so many were donated that Yardley could have one as well.

She immediately realized that this indeed was the best bed ever! Yardley loves this bed and rarely leaves it. This means she spends most of her time in the room without other cats and rabbits. Less stress for everyone. Fluffy beds for everyone!

Medically, Yardley is doing great. She is due for blood work this month, so fingers crossed everything looks good.

Thanks again for sponsoring this sweet girl!!
