Update for Yardley

Hello Yardley Sponsors!

Thank you for your continued support. I hope you and your loved ones are safe and well.

Yardley is doing quite well. We started her on Prozac about 6 weeks ago to help lower her stress. Yardley does not believe that other cats (or dogs or rabbits) should exist. The Prozac has made an incredible difference for her! She still hisses at the other cats, but she is now tolerating them.

For a cat who would like to be the only cat, her tolerating the others is a huge step. I am glad that Yardley’s stress level is down. We hear a lot less hissing from everyone. One of the pictures is Yardley tolerating Kale.

The humans in the house are still staying home, which Yardley likes. One of Yardley’s favorite spots is the futon in her room. She shares this room with my younger son. My son used to keep a huge pile of stuffed animals on the futon. Last week, he cleared off the futon. It is clean! Before this, Yardley did enjoy climbing on top of all of the stuffed animals, claiming her throne. She seems to enjoy that throne even more now. She loves sitting right by the window.

The weather has been a little springy and a little cold. Some days we have the windows open, sometimes not. Yardley prefers when it is warm out and she can sit in the open window. Me too, Yardley.

Thanks again for your continued support. This is a very scary time for all of us. Many people are being hit hard, which then turns into non-profits like Tabby’s Place being hit hard. Thank you for supporting Tabby’s Place and the life-saving work that we are doing. We could not do this without your support. We could not give cats like Yardley a loving home without your support. Thank you.
