Update for Yardley

Hello, Yardley sponsors!!

Yardley is doing well! She continues to thrive.

Two weeks ago I went out of town for a conference. This is the second time that my husband was the one who had to pill Yardley. He was scared. The last time he had to pill her was in July. While medicating her that time went okay, he was still a bit nervous. A few months ago, Yardley was trying to bite him when he put her in her room at night.

The first day my husband was quite apprehensive about pilling her. Yardley did initially run, but then she let him pill her. He then sent me a picture of a surgeon and that’s what he felt like after pilling Yardley. Surgery, pilling cats, it’s all the same thing, right?

Yardley received all of her medications while I was away. My husband was very proud of himself.

Yardley has been coming downstairs more and more. If the dogs are outside, she will come downstairs and sniff around. One day while the dogs were out, Yardley came down the stairs and lay down on the living room floor. She was quite happy and content. She took a good ten-minute nap on the living floor until she was rudely interrupted by the presence of dogs. The dogs ignored her but she hissed at them anyway. It was a matter of principle. Yardley does not associate with dogs or cats. She only associates with people. She does seem to tolerate the rabbits. I think they mostly ignore each other.

Yardley likes people. With rabbits she is indifferent. Yardley’s a people person-cat.

Thanks again for sponsoring our sassy girl!!!
