Update for Wolfie

Hi Wolfie fans,

There’s been a lot of tension in Suite FIV. It turns out that Knickers, a new guy who is very sweet with humans, is not so sweet with his feline roommates. Knickers began starting fights and sometimes redirecting his aggression toward people, so he was put on behavioral medication.

Since the outbreak of a huge fight involving Lester and Rufus (no shrinking violets themselves), the kind Tabby’s Place staff has reluctantly decided to keep Knickers crated at all times until the medication takes effect. They’re doing their best to keep Suite FIV calm for all the cats. That’s not always easy with a group of brawling tough guys.

Our big boy Wolfie has managed to stay out of the fray. He’s a lover…or perhaps a beached whale posing at a cat. But a fighter he is not!

On the health front, our poor guy is taking antibiotics for another bout of conjunctivitis. FIV weakens a cat’s immune system, and in Wolfie’s case, this has made him especially vulnerable to conjunctivitis and ringworm. Fortunately, it’s easy to treat the former, and there’s no sign of the latter! Wolfie has also been losing some weight. He has had full blood work and x-rays done, and all was normal.

I asked Wolfie if he had any messages for his devoted supporters. He asked me to share his appreciation and love. He knows he’s well cared for and sends kisses and furry hugs to you.
