Update for Thomas

Greetings to Team Thomas!

Our ever-lovable marmalade guy has had a quiet month medically, with one exception: due to an incident with suite-mate Jasper, all of our FIV+ cats were treated with a topical treatment to kill and repel fleas, and everyone was flea-combed. Of course, we don’t let any Tabby’s Place cats outside, but once in a great while fleas will find their way into one of the solaria, and we think that’s what happened here.

Trust a cat to make a liar out of you! No sooner had I written you last month that Thomas was spending most of his time indoors than he began his usual habit of spending most of the day in his solarium. It’s been an unusually cool and wet summer to date, but Thomas doesn’t seem fazed by that, and His Orangeness is once again most commonly found in his beloved, screened-in, patch of the Great Outdoors.

You know by now that Thomas greatly enjoys suite-mate Fuzzy’s company (though he’d never admit such a thing). However, Fuzzy seems completely uninterested in the solarium, so he has to wait until Thomas deigns to come back inside before the two can wrestle, an activity both cats really seem to enjoy.

We’re delighted that Thomas has remained healthy for a while now, and we hope this trend will be a long-lived one. As always, thanks to you for helping us take care of our sweet boy.
