Greetings to Team Thomas!

Can it be true? Has our beautiful boy really remained healthy for a whole month?! Rejoice unto yourselves, good sponsors all, for His Orangeness has indeed enjoyed a full month of excellent condition. He’s gaining back the weight he’d lost (indeed, we’ll have to take care he doesn’t gain too much!), and he’s back to his usual demands for attention when anyone so much as places a toe over the threshold of his suite.

There’s something else different about Thomas, too. He’s playing with a suitemate – Fuzzy, a large, good-natured, buff-colored male, has been seen frequently playing with our wonderful orange guy. Like typical boys, they wrestle and play hard, but it’s clearly done without ill intention (Thomas usually stops wrestling first, and Fuzzy will sometimes nip Thomas or bat at him to get him to start again). We believe that this social interaction is good for both boys, and of course we’re very pleased that Thomas is playing with another cat, instead of trying to bully him.

As the year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to thank all of you. Thomas is such a joy to have around, and it’s because of generous, caring people like you that we can afford to keep and care for him in a manner of which he almost approves (he’d prefer a private suite with humans waiting on him 24/7, naturally!). Happy New Year, and I look forward to keeping you updated on our boy’s doings in 2009.
