Update for Stafford

Update for Stafford

Hello, Stafford Lovers!

It’s time for another update on our shaggy boy.

Medical news first: Stafford has lost some weight over the past month, and we’re not sure why. He does have an ongoing battle with chronic congestion, and that can affect his appetite, but then he’s also diabetic, so we monitor his eating habits very closely. There was one morning where he had very little appetite and did not require insulin. Since then, he had a full blood glucose curve calculated, which resulted in an increase in his insulin dosage. We’re keeping a sharp eye on him, as we always do, for any other changes.

Tabby’s Place is a cat sanctuary. Our Executive Director’s office, where Stafford lives, is almost a sanctuary unto itself these days. Stafford and roommate Shiny live together with no fighting.  Sometimes we wish that all Tabby’s Place cats could benefit from their example! Of course, this peaceful co-existence is due in part to Stafford’s wonderful personality. He’s a gentle, sweet boy who isn’t aggressive toward anyone, no matter the circumstance, and we’re happy to have him with us.

As always, thank you for helping us help Stafford.

Your correspondent,
Stephanie
