Update for Stafford

Update for Stafford

Happy Summer, Stafford fans!

It’s time for another update on our shaggy guy.

Mr. Stafford has had a month of medical ups-and-downs. Of course, our medical team carefully monitors his weight and blood glucose levels, and this has been a month of some adjustments.

Further, Stafford has had some coughing episodes. Now, that might just be hairballs; he does, after all, have longer fur. But he does not have a history of hairball issues, and he’s a senior feline with FIV. So we will watch him for a little while longer; if the coughing continues, our medical team will perform some chest scans. Fingers crossed that it won’t come to that!

There is something very reassuring about Stafford at this point: he’s playing. Quite a bit, actually. I’m told that he loves his toys and is frequently seen batting them around and chasing them, and that’s a good sign.

It means a great deal that you continue to help us help Stafford. He’s a sweet, thoroughly deserving boy, and, while we’d love to see him go to a home of his own, it’s wonderful to know he’ll have a place with us at Tabby’s Place for as long as he needs one. Thank you!
